paranoid

now I lay me down in this place
a blank expression on my face
i here this there i see that here
this strange thing slowly feeds my feer

from wall to wall
and floor to floor
its getting harder to avoid
it’s creeping up
behind my door
i wish i weren’t paranoid

and just to think
when i was small
i used to write
on all the walls
and have such fun
when i was done
but now these strange things have begun

now i lay me down to sleep
and hope my sanity will keep
if I should go before I wake
i hope this feeling god will take

from wall to wall
and floor to floor
its getting harder to avoid
it’s creeping up
behind my door
i wish i weren’t paranoid
